December 3rd to 9th every year is Disability Week. It is a week aimed at deepening understanding and interest in disabilities and encouraging the participation of people with disabilities in society.
In Inagi City, events will be held during Disability Week to promote understanding of disabilities.

Part 1: Athlete Matsunaga's Deaflympics Report Meeting, Talk Event with Athletes Matsunaga × Hagiwara
We will hold a report meeting for Ayaka Matsunaga, who participated in the women's volleyball at the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics and brilliantly won the gold medal.
Additionally, we will invite Naoki Hagiwara, a gold medalist in goalball at the Paris 2024 Paralympics and a former classmate of Matsunaga at Nagamine Elementary School, to hold a talk event.
Part 2: Making Christmas cards in the math class, taiko drum concert "Let's all play taiko", e-sports "Taiko no Tatsujin", and more
A workshop to create pop-up Christmas cards using the mathematical theory of "fractals," performances by world-renowned taiko drummer Ryo Shiobara and the taiko unit Honobono formed by Shiobara and Kohei Yamaoka, who has Down syndrome, as well as group taiko experiences and events where participants can challenge Shiobara in the e-sports game "Taiko no Tatsujin."
