QuestionI want to remove a bird's nest that is in my home (such as on the balcony). What should I do?

Response

In principle, wild birds and animals cannot be exterminated, but there may be cases where extermination is possible, so please contact the Tokyo Tama Environmental Office (phone 042-523-3171). It usually takes about a month for the chicks to fledge, so please watch over them during this time, and only remove the nest after the chicks have fledged. Additionally, we recommend taking measures such as installing bird nets to prevent nesting in the next season.
