License Plate (Yellow)
[New Number Plate Design]

From June 1 to June 30, 2026, we solicited new number plate designs under the theme "Mechanical City Inagi," and received a very large number of 141 submissions. The judging was conducted by mechanical designer Kunio Okawara and Mayor of Inagi City Katsuhiro Takahashi, and the grand prize and winning works were decided as follows.

The grand prize-winning work will be refined by Mr. Kunio Okawara and will become the design for Inagi City's new original number plate.

For information on the issuance of the original number plates, please see the link below.

Let's Take a Peek at the Charm of Inagi (Yorimichi)

Grand Prize

[Work Description]

Two design patterns were created: a simple design featuring Nashinosuke and Nacchi peeking out from the city emblem, and a cute design of the two resting under a pear tree, which is one of Inagi's charms.

〈Awarded〉

The Kestrel Flying in the Vast Sky of Inagi (Yuka)

Prize Winner 1

[Work Description]

I included the kestrel, which is also said to be the bird of Inagi City. However, just that alone didn’t seem enough to bring out the charm of Inagi City, so I tried placing Inagi Nashinosuke, the official character of Inagi City, riding on the kestrel. Furthermore, by placing the famous local specialty, the pear, in the background, I thought it would highlight Inagi City’s specialty products.

Peek-a-boo Inagi Nashinosuke and Nachi Nochuke (by Zuranosuke)

Prize Winner 2

[Work Description]

I designed this hoping that license plates featuring the beloved "Inagi Nashinosuke" and "Nachi Nochuke," who have lived in Inagi since childhood, would become widespread. I aimed for a cute design that would make women want to drive as well. The highlight is the two of them happily peeking their faces out from the numbers together.
