On Monday, June 1, Azusa Iwashimizu, Nina Noda, and Yukina Sakabe of NTV Tokyo Verdy Beleza paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Takahashi to report on the end of the season. They reviewed the 2025/26 season and reported on match results and activities.

Mayor Takahashi expressed his expectations for further success in the next season, offered words of encouragement, and the visit ended with applause from city staff.

Thank you for the inspiration! Player Iwashimizu retires from active play

Player Iwashimizu made significant contributions to winning the 2011 Women's World Cup and earning the silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics, and has also been awarded the Inagi City Citizen's Honor Award.

During the courtesy visit, the city presented a bouquet as a token of gratitude for everything so far, and Player Iwashimizu, who has announced her retirement, spoke about her future activities and her feelings upon retiring.

Her continued fight on the highest stage gave many people dreams and hope. Thank you very much for your hard work.
