February 1st is "Tokyo Hydrogen Day," named after the molecular weight of hydrogen, 2.01.
The city participates in the "Tokyo Hydrogen Promotion Team," which includes over 100 organizations from industry, academia, and government, to realize a low-carbon society as a measure against global warming. It also sponsors the Hydrogen Energy Visualization Executive Committee, promoting the advancement of a hydrogen society.
