Get a health checkup once a year!

All residents aged 40 and over enrolled in the National Health Insurance of Inagi City are encouraged to undergo the "Specific Health Checkup" aimed at early detection and prevention of lifestyle-related diseases!

In recent years in Japan, it is estimated that deaths caused by lifestyle-related diseases account for about one-third of the total, due to changes in social and living environments.
Lifestyle-related diseases progress without noticeable symptoms. It is important to have a medical checkup every year to monitor your health condition.

Eligible Individuals

Those who meet all of the following conditions

  1. Those enrolled in the National Health Insurance of Inagi City on the day of the medical examination
  2. Those who will turn 40 to 74 years old during fiscal year 2025, and those who will turn 75 years old from June 2025 onward

Sending Period / Examination Deadline

Examination tickets will be sent sequentially from early June. Once you receive the examination ticket, please make a reservation at a designated medical institution in the city and undergo the examination by the following deadline.

1. For those aged 40 to 74

Examination Deadline: Until November 29, 2025

2. Those who will turn 75 years old between June 2 and October 31

Examination Deadline: Until October 31, 2025

3. Those who will turn 75 in November

Deadline for consultation: Until the day before your birthday

  • Note: Age as of March 31, 2026
  • Note: Please be aware that you cannot receive medical treatment if you have moved out or joined another health insurance.

Please return the consultation ticket along with the Health Insurance Card or qualification confirmation document when completing the National Health Insurance loss procedure.

  • Medical Examination Ticket
  • My Number Health Insurance Card, Paper Health Insurance Card, or Eligibility Confirmation Document

Precautions When Visiting a Medical Institution

  1. The month before the deadline is very busy, and you may not be able to receive a consultation.Please make your reservation promptly after receiving the consultation ticket.
  2. Please be sure to fill out the medical questionnaire on the consultation ticket in advance and bring it with you.
  3. Please wear clothing that is easy to put on and take off when visiting.
  4. Urine collection will be conducted.
  5. Please note that if an additional fundus examination is required, the screening may be conducted at another medical institution.

Regarding Meal Intake and Related Matters

  1. If you undergo a health checkup in the morning, please refrain from consuming any food or drink other than water for at least 10 hours before the checkup, as it may affect test results such as blood sugar levels.
  2. If you are having a health checkup in the afternoon, please confirm with the medical institution regarding food and drink intake.
  3. Please refrain from consuming alcohol or engaging in intense exercise the day before the health checkup.

For those who have undergone health checkups or comprehensive medical examinations at their workplace

Those who have undergone a workplace health checkup or a comprehensive medical examination will be considered to have received the Specific Health Checkup upon submitting the necessary documents. To understand everyone's health condition, please submit a copy of your health checkup results once they are available.

Subsidy for Comprehensive Medical Checkup Fees

Even those aged 40 and over can receive subsidies if they undergo a comprehensive medical checkup at the Inagi City Hospital Health Checkup Center during the specified health checkup period.

Specific Health Guidance

Based on the results of health checkups and medical interviews, those who are determined to be at high risk of lifestyle-related diseases due to metabolic syndrome will be provided with guidance on specific health interventions.
Specific health guidance includes individual consultations with specialists and support aimed at improving metabolic syndrome.
