From what age can I leave my child?

What is a place for childcare like?

Childcare takes place at the Home Daycare Provider's home or in a dedicated childcare room for family care.

About the Interview with Home Daycare Provider

After receiving notification of approval for use from the city, you will have an interview with the Home Daycare Provider. During the interview, please confirm and discuss the following matters. If there are no issues, you will directly contract with the Home Daycare Provider, and the decision for use will be finalized.

Please check carefully as there are differences regarding the care of your child at a Licensed Childcare Center.

  1. Contents and Methods of Childcare
  2. Childcare Days, Childcare Hours, Extended Care
  3. Other costs and payment methods
  4. Response in Case of Illness or Accident
  5. Child's Health Status
  6. Other Important Matters to Consider

What about childcare fees?

(1) Childcare Fees

This will be the childcare fee for Category 3 certification. For more details, please see the following page.

(2) Others

You will need to bring bedding, diapers, etc., or you will be responsible for the actual costs. Additionally, there may be cases where you are required to cover other costs directly related to childcare.

(3) Extended Childcare Fees

In the case of short-time certification for childcare

If the usage exceeds 8 hours, an additional extended childcare fee will apply.

In the case of standard childcare hours certification

Please contact each Home Daycare Provider.

Cooperative Childcare Center

Licensed Childcare Centers in the city collaborate with Home Daycare Providers, offering childcare assistance and childcare consultations to them. Additionally, Home Daycare Providers and their children participate together in events hosted by the Childcare Centers (such as activities and Health Checkups), fostering interaction with the nursery school children.
Also, when the Home Daycare Provider is on leave or attending training, a partnered Childcare Center will take care of your child and continue their care. If the partnered Childcare Center is unable to provide care due to circumstances, substitute care will be provided at a public Nursery School.

Notes on the Use of Home Daycare Provider

  1. As there is no nurse on duty, we cannot accept children who require medical care, have food allergies, or have a history of febrile seizures.
  2. If a food allergy develops after using a Home Daycare Provider, in principle, you will need to prepare a bento(Lunch Box) at home.
  3. The meals will be provided by the Home Daycare Provider, but if you need to prepare a bento (Lunch Box) at home due to food allergies, the cost will be borne by your household.
  4. Home Daycare Provider enrollees are required to undergo a Health Checkup at the start of use and twice a year. Parents or Guardians should take their children directly to the designated doctor for the checkup.
  5. If your family situation changes during use, you will need to take action. Please refer to the next page, and if applicable, promptly submit the necessary documents to the Child Care Support Division. Also, be sure to contact your Home Daycare Provider.
  1. After enrolling with a Home Daycare Provider, please communicate with the Home Daycare Provider and follow the rules while entrusting your child.
  2. Extended childcare after 6 PM is generally not provided.
