Twice a month on Wednesdays, the collection of "old cloth" is carried out. Items that can still be worn are reused overseas as secondhand clothes, and after collection, they are recycled by being turned back into fibers and made into sheets or cleaning cloths, thus being reused as resources.
However, if the items get wet due to rain or other reasons during collection, they cannot be reused, so old cloths put out on rainy days are inevitably all incinerated.

Even if you cover it with a plastic bag or similar as rain protection, it cannot be reused, so if the collection day for old cloth is rainy, please wait as long as possible until the next collection to put it out.

  • Note: Collection will take place even if it is raining.
  • Note: The "old paper" collected on the same day can be reused even if it is wet, so you can put it out even in rainy weather.
