Request for Thorough Garbage Separation

In this fire incident, we were able to resume garbage collection and processing on the same day; however, depending on the scale of the fire, extensive repairs may be required, and garbage processing may be unavailable for an extended period.

Fires at waste processing facilities often occur due to incorrect waste sorting, especially the inclusion of flammable items such as rechargeable batteries and lighters. Rechargeable batteries are very dangerous as they can easily catch fire if damaged.

We ask all citizens to thoroughly separate their garbage, and especially to make sure to put rechargeable batteries and flammable materials out on the designated hazardous waste collection days.
