There is domestic and international data indicating that men are more prone to isolation than women, and gender-related factors such as "masculinity" have been pointed out. Additionally, among women, as lifestyles change, it seems that the number of people feeling lonely due to "working in a masculine way" is increasing.
Loneliness and isolation are not choices individuals can freely make; they are created by society. Let's learn this perspective and explore what we can do together.

What is the "Inagi Gender Equality Promotion Forum"?
The "Inagi City Gender Equality Promotion Forum" was held as the "Inagi City Women's Gathering" in 1975, commemorating the International Women's Year, with the theme of "A Good Society to Leave for Our Children."
After that, the name was changed to 'Inagi Women's Gathering', 'Inagi Women's Forum', and 'Inagi Gender Forum', while addressing various themes in different formats such as lectures, and it has now become the current 'Inagi Gender Equality Promotion Forum'.
In order to realize a society where everyone can live as themselves, a committee composed of citizens is engaged in various activities related to gender equality, including selecting themes, requesting and coordinating speakers, and managing operations and creating records on the day of the event.
About the Forum Record Collection Back Issues
We have published a collection of records from the forums that have been held so far.
If you are interested, please take a look. Additionally, it is also available at the Gender Equality Promotion Center on the first floor of the Community Promotion Plaza, so please check it out.

Keynote Speech: Disaster Prevention Measures from the Perspective of Gender Equality
Ms. Mutsuko Tendo
In recent years, with the improvement of disaster prevention awareness, systems and measures for individuals and shelters have been enhanced. However, when actually starting life in a shelter, there are many cases where people vulnerable to disasters are forced to endure unreasonable hardships due to differences in needs between men and women and a lack of consideration.
In today's world, where anyone can become vulnerable during disasters, we have considered what perspectives to have and what actions to take in such situations.
2023 Inagi Women's and Men's Forum 2023 (46th Edition)
Keynote Speech: "Aiming for Politics that Reflects Women's Voices - The Shock of Japan's Gender Gap Ranking at 125"
Yasue Nukatsuka
In 2023, Japan ranked 125th in the Gender Gap Index published annually by the World Economic Forum. This is the lowest ranking since the survey began in 2006, primarily due to women's political participation.
Why is women's political participation not progressing in Japan? Let's think about it together.

Keynote Speech: "The Gender Gap Highlighted by the Pandemic"
Yuko Iijima
The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the disparities and hardships faced by socially vulnerable groups. This is not a new problem created by the pandemic, but rather a visibility of the already existing unequal social structure.
We learned about the issues that have been brought to light and their background, and considered a future where everyone can live more easily.

Remote Lecture "What is 'Team Parenting'?"
Mr. Toshihiko Endo
"Team Parenting" refers to parenting that is not done solely within the household, but rather involves parenting together with child care support services and local community members.
What is childcare that is done collectively rather than individually?
