December 4th to December 10th is Human Rights Week.
The United Nations designates December 10 as "Human Rights Day" to commemorate the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In Japan, the period from December 4 to December 10 is recognized as "Human Rights Week," during which various campaigns are held nationwide to promote the respect for human rights.
The Ministry of Justice and the National Human Rights Commission are accepting consultations on familiar human rights issues.
