Agricultural Volunteer Training Course "Inagi Agriculture Exchange School" (Fruit Tree Division, Recruiting 3rd Term Students!)
What is Agricultural Volunteer Work?
The agricultural volunteer system is a program where volunteers assist farmers who are struggling to manage their farms due to aging and a shortage of successors, providing help free of charge.
The purpose is to deepen交流 with agricultural producers and understanding of Inagi agriculture.
Let's learn at the Inagi Agricultural Interaction School!
Since fiscal year 2016, our city has been offering the "Inagi Agricultural Interaction School" to train volunteer farmers.
We will conduct a course that divides vegetable cultivation and fruit tree cultivation into separate sections by year, allowing participants to learn cultivation techniques over the course of one year.
After completing the course, you will be dispatched as a volunteer for agricultural support to various farmers, playing an active role in promoting agriculture in Inagi.
Fruit Tree Division
In the fruit tree department, you can learn the knowledge and techniques of pear cultivation, which is a specialty product of Inagi.
Pear cultivation involves various tasks throughout the year, from spring pollination to winter pruning and branch processing, allowing you to experience the growth of pears over the course of a year.
In addition, the practical training for this course is conducted in the orchards of farmers who are members of the Inagi pear production cooperative.
This is a valuable opportunity to learn in an actual orchard.
After completing the course, you will be active as an agricultural volunteer specializing in pear cultivation, supporting pear farmers.
Currently recruiting the 3rd term of fruit tree students.
For details, please check the application method at the bottom of the page.
Vegetable Division
In the vegetable section, you can learn knowledge and techniques for vegetable cultivation.
The timing of sowing and the method of harvesting vary depending on the type of vegetables.
The practical training of this course is conducted in the training field under the guidance of the Inagi City Agricultural Committee, allowing you to experience seasonal vegetable planting over the course of a year.
After completing the course, you will be active as an agricultural support volunteer for vegetable farmers.
There are no recruitments this fiscal year. The next recruitment is scheduled for around September 2028.
