A lecture by Takayuki Ueda, Professor of Geriatric Prosthodontics at Tokyo Dental College. Prosthodontics is a dental field that restores lost function and aesthetics by replacing missing teeth and jaws with artificial materials. Maintaining oral health is essential for continuing to eat deliciously and enjoy lively conversations. This is a crucial key to healthy longevity. In recent years, it has become clear that oral decline, known as "oral frailty," is also related to overall health and cognitive decline. However, these changes are often difficult to notice and may progress unknowingly. This lecture will clearly introduce methods to check for early signs of "oral frailty" and key points for prevention and improvement that can be done in daily life. We will share tips to keep your mouth healthy and enjoy a vibrant daily life.
