City Hall cannot impose traffic regulations based on the Road Traffic Act, such as restricting vehicle passage.

To impose such traffic regulations, it is necessary to obtain approval from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and the Tokyo Public Safety Commission, and in Inagi City, the Tama Central Police Station serves as the point of contact.
According to the Tama Chuo Police Station, generally, it is necessary to obtain the consent of local residents to impose traffic regulations that prohibit vehicle passage.

In this case, since it is related to the school route, it is considered necessary for the school, PTA, and Neighborhood Association to take the lead in gathering opinions.
For more details, please contact the Tama Chuo Police Station.
