10th Anniversary of the Friendship City Agreement between Inagi City and Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture

Inagi City signed a Friendship City agreement with Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture, with which it has deepened exchanges through support for recovery and reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake, on August 18, 2015, and celebrated the 10th anniversary in 2025.

We will continue to promote broad exchanges among residents based on this agreement and further deepen our friendship.

Friendship City Agreement

In response to the significant damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture received support from Inagi City in Tokyo, which began assisting disaster victims with a spirit of friendship immediately after the disaster and worked together with its citizens on recovery and reconstruction efforts.
Through various projects for this support, we aim to continue cherishing the friendship that has blossomed between the citizens of both cities and to assist each other's development, culminating in the conclusion of a Friendship City agreement.
