Subsidies will be provided to those who have introduced energy creation and energy-saving equipment for the purpose of self-consumption, in order to achieve a decarbonized society.

Eligible Equipment, Requirements, and Amount

Subsidy Requirements

Solar Power Generation Equipment

Must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Modules registered in the JP-AC solar panel model registration list of the JPEA Proxy Application Center, with registration type A; modules certified for photovoltaic power generation by the Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories (JET), or by overseas certification bodies participating in the IECEE-PV-FCS system of the International Electrotechnical Commission, or those recognized by the mayor as having equivalent performance.
(2) Installed on the roofs of residences, the generated electricity is used within the dwelling.
(3) Unused items, excluding leased and second-hand goods.
(4) Having a power supply contract with an electric company.

Note

The subsidy amount is determined by the smaller value between the output of the solar power generation equipment and the output of the inverter (power conditioner).

Home Fuel Cell System (Enefarm)

Must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Residential fuel cell systems certified by the General Incorporated Association Fuel Cell Promotion Association.
(2) Installed within the premises of the residence and used in the dwelling where it is installed.
(3) Unused items, excluding leased and second-hand goods.

Battery Storage System

Must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Items registered as eligible equipment under the Net Zero Energy House (ZEH) support project by the General Incorporated Association Environmental Co-Creation Initiative.
(2) Installed within the premises of the residence and used in the dwelling where it is installed.
(3) Unused items, excluding leased and second-hand goods.

Wood Pellet Stove

Must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Heating equipment designed and specified to use wood pellets (sawdust crushed from wood and formed into circular shapes) as fuel.
(2) Installed within the premises of the residence and used in the dwelling where it is installed.
(3) Unused items, excluding leased and second-hand goods.

Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV)

Must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Equipment designated as eligible for subsidies under the Clean Energy Vehicle Introduction Promotion Subsidy by the Next Generation Vehicle Promotion Center, a general incorporated association.
(2) The primary place of use is within the city.
(3) It must be a privately owned car.
(4) Unused items, excluding leased and second-hand goods.

Vehicle-to-Home System (V2H)

Must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Equipment designated as eligible for subsidies under the Clean Energy Vehicle Introduction Promotion Subsidy by the Next Generation Vehicle Promotion Center, a general incorporated association.
(2) Installed within the premises of the residence and used in the dwelling where it is installed.
(3) Unused items, excluding leased and second-hand goods.

Insulation Renovation of Existing Windows and Doors

Must meet all of the following requirements.

(1) Thermal insulation renovation of existing windows

A. Thermal insulation renovation using window components registered as eligible equipment in the insulation renovation support project for existing houses by the Hokkaido Environmental Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation.
(i) Unused items, excluding leased and second-hand goods.
U. Has not received the FY2024 Inagi City Commerce and Industry Association Housing Renovation Subsidy

(2) Thermal Insulation Renovation of Existing Doors

A. Implemented simultaneously with the thermal insulation renovation of existing windows.
(i) Thermal insulation renovation using door components registered as eligible equipment by the General Incorporated Association Environmental Co-Creation Initiative.
U. Unused items, excluding leased and second-hand goods.
E. Has not received the FY2024 Inagi City Commerce and Industry Association Housing Renovation Subsidy

Other Installation Requirements
  • Installation is only applicable to existing houses (newly built houses and extension windows are excluded).
  • Please renovate all the windows in at least one living room. When renovating all the windows in one living room simultaneously with renovating one or more non-living spaces such as hallways, entrances, or bathrooms, the renovation of non-living spaces is also included in the eligible expenses. However, renovation of non-living spaces only is not eligible.
  • If a ventilation small window, a window using glass measuring 300mm×200mm or less, or a jalousie window intended for ventilation is included in the room, the renovation of those windows is excluded from the installation requirements. However, if renovations to those windows are also carried out, they will be included in the subsidized expenses.
Note
  • "Door" refers to fittings located on the exterior wall of the house that can be locked from the outside. Service doors and glass doors that cannot be locked from the outside are uniformly treated as windows.
  • Replacement of shutters, storm shutters, screens, security grilles, decorative grilles, and glass attached to doors is excluded.
  • Installation and renovation must comply with the Building Standards Act and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • If approval from the management association is required for the installation work, such approval must be obtained. In that case, please submit documents that confirm the approval has been granted.
  • Insulated windows installed in the residence by the management association through large-scale renovations, etc., are not eligible for subsidies.

Please refer to the diagram below to check the areas where mistakes are common during application.

Precautions when applying for subsidies for thermal insulation renovation of existing windows and doors. Subsidies are available if all windows in one room and non-living rooms, all windows in living rooms including service entrances that cannot be locked from outside, or a combination of all windows in one room and the front door are renovated. Applications are not eligible if all windows in one room are not renovated, if only windows in non-living rooms are renovated, or if only the front door is renovated.

Notes for application
  • Eligible equipment is limited to unused items (leases and used items are not allowed).
  • Applications are limited to one time per person for each eligible model.
  • Regarding the equipment applied for this time, it is limited to those that have not previously received subsidies from the Mayor of Inagi City under the "Carbon Neutral Promotion Housing Equipment Installation Cost (formerly: Promotion Project for Residential Energy Creation Equipment Installation)".

Eligible Applicants

Households that completed the installation of eligible equipment between March 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025, and have no delinquency in individual resident taxes (Municipal Resident Tax, Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax, etc.) (detached houses, apartment buildings)
Note: There are additional conditions, so not all households are eligible. For more details, please refer to the "Application Guide."
