November 10 is Utility Pole Removal Day every year

To raise awareness of utility pole removal, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is holding an event in which participants will simultaneously post photos, illustrations, and videos related to utility pole removal on social media using a common hashtag on Utility Pole Removal Day (November 10).
Through a concentrated social media campaign, we aim to increase public understanding of and interest in the importance and benefits of removing utility poles, while widely promoting its advantages, such as improved disaster resilience, safe and comfortable pedestrian spaces, and more attractive landscapes.
