(School Gymnasium Facility Opening) Precautions When Using During Heat Stroke Warning Alerts
Currently, the Ministry of the Environment issues the "Heatstroke Warning Alert" and the "Heat Index" to encourage heatstroke prevention actions when extremely high-risk hot environments are predicted.
If the heat index (WBGT) at the observation points in Hachioji or Fuchu reaches 31 or higher on the day of activities, and you wish to cancel due to concerns about heat-related illnesses, there are no special restrictions on the cancellation. Please contact the Education General Affairs Division to inform them of the cancellation after the following day.
To all groups using school sports facilities, please be aware that the risk of heatstroke increases on hot days not only for outdoor sports but also for indoor sports. When exercising, please thoroughly implement heatstroke prevention measures. Also, if you feel that the heat might be dangerous, do not hesitate to suspend activities.
