We are conducting exchanges for designated collection bags for plastic waste.

　From April of Reiwa 5 (2023), we have started collecting plastic waste. We ask all citizens to purchase and use the designated collection bags specifically for plastic waste when disposing of it.
　Since the start of collection, the proportion of plastic waste in household garbage has increased, and the amount of burnable garbage and non-burnable garbage has decreased, resulting in many voices saying that they no longer use those garbage bags as much.
In the future, we would like to ask all citizens to actively participate in waste separation and to cooperate in promoting the disposal of recyclable plastic waste.

　Therefore, we will exchange the designated collection bags for Burnable Garbage and Non-burnable Garbage (in a white outer bag, with 10 bags per exchange unit) that are no longer used in your household and are unused and unopened at the Living Environment Division counter on the 3rd floor of Inagi City Hall for designated collection bags for plastic waste.

　This project will be implemented for three years starting from Reiwa 5, and since the initial objectives have been achieved, this will be the final round. We kindly ask for your understanding.

From Monday, December 1, 2025 to Friday, February 27, 2026
Note: We have sufficient stock for exchanges, but if we receive a large number of exchange requests at once, there is a possibility that we may not be able to provide the items on the same day due to stock availability.
In that case, you will need to come to pick it up again, so please understand.

Note: The Wakabadai Branch Office and Hirao Branch Office cannot handle exchanges.

Points to Note When Exchanging

• The bags after exchange are only for plastic waste.
  Note: Exchange of bags for Burnable Garbage to bags for non-burnable garbage and other separate categories is not allowed.
• The bags for Burnable Garbage and non-burnable garbage collected during exchanges will be reused,limited to unused and unopened (1 pack of 10 sheets) items.
  Note: Only the 10-piece set in an unopened white outer bag can be exchanged.
• Exchanges are limited to items of the same size only. Exchanges for different sizes are not permitted.
  Note: Exchanges for different sizes, such as from large to small, are not allowed.
• The price of plastic garbage bags is half that of burnable garbage bags and non-burnable garbage bags, so we exchange one pack (10 bags) for two packs (20 bags).
• Unused, unopened (1 bag contains 10 sheets) Burnable Garbage bags and Non-burnable Garbage bags should be brought to the Living Environment Division counter on the 3rd floor of Inagi City Hall, where you will fill out the necessary information on the Application Form and exchange them for plastic garbage bags.
• This exchange is limited to citizens.
• If you wish to exchange a large quantity (bringing in 10 or more bags), please contact the Living Environment Division in advance as we need to prepare stock and other arrangements.
