How to Dispose of Each Type of Waste

Styrofoam, Foam Trays

  • After peeling off the label, wash and dry it, then put it in a plastic bag and place it in the collection box.
  • Large polystyrene foam over 50 cm should be crushed into small pieces before putting it in a plastic bag and disposing of it.
  • Items with attached dirt cannot be recycled.
Do not put it in the collection box; please dispose of it as Burnable Garbage from your home.

Please refer to the link below for details.

Small Electronic Devices

  • For items containing personal information, please erase the personal information before placing them in the designated collection box.
  • Please remove dry batteries and rechargeable batteries (batteries), and place only the small electronic devices into the box.
  • For small electronic devices such as electric shavers and wireless earphones whose batteries cannot be removed, please place them directly into the collection box.
However, do not put batteries that are swollen into the box; please dispose of them from your home on the designated "hazardous waste" day.

Please refer to the link below for details.

Ink Cartridges

  • We only collect genuine products from four companies (Brother, Canon, Epson, and Japan HP).
  • Please remove the ink cartridges from boxes or bags and place only the cartridges into the designated collection box.

Please refer to the link below for details.

Dry Batteries, Button Batteries, Coin Batteries

  • Please remove batteries from bags or packaging films and place only the batteries themselves into the collection box.
  • For button batteries and coin batteries, please insulate both sides by applying cellophane tape or similar before disposing.
  • Rechargeable batteries cannot be collected.
Please dispose of them on the designated "Hazardous Waste" day or place them in the recycling box at cooperating recycling stores.

Milk Cartons

  • Please rinse the inside of the pack thoroughly, cut it open with scissors or the like, and dry it before putting it out.

Gas Lighters

  • Please remove from the box or bag and place only the lighter into the collection box.
  • Please use up the gas lighter as much as possible before disposing of it.
If you cannot use it up, please dispose of it as is. Do not pierce it or do anything similar, as there is a risk of ignition.
