We will carry out activities to eliminate marine litter

Original Zero Marine Litter Garbage Bags for Distribution

The problem of marine litter is increasing worldwide. It is said that by 2050, the amount of marine litter, including plastics, will exceed the amount of fish. To implement urgent measures, the Nippon Foundation and the Ministry of the Environment are jointly promoting a large-scale cleanup campaign under the slogan "Zero Marine Litter." Since about 80% of marine litter is believed to flow into the sea from land (cities) via rivers, it is important to take action not only at sea but also in cities to reduce marine litter.

The city supports this activity and is registered as a promotion partner.

Therefore, until August, we will distribute the "Zero Marine Waste Original Garbage Bag" as a dedicated bag for Burnable Garbage.
