The "Community Skill Bulletin Board" is an initiative that connects Neighborhood Association members who have "small troubles" in community activities with volunteers (skilled individuals) who want to contribute to community activities by utilizing their areas of expertise, in order to solve local issues.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government established the "Tokyo Connection Creation Foundation" as the business entity, and the certified NPO Service Grant operates the matching platform "GRANT".
This system allows Neighborhood Associations and other local groups to post projects online, where eligible "skilled individuals" can apply. The projects are designed to be easy to participate in, lasting from one day to about three months. Anyone who wishes to use their experience and expertise to benefit the community can register as a "skilled individual."
This project is a collaborative initiative between Inagi City, the Tokyo Connection Creation Foundation, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and the certified NPO Service Grant.
