Chapter 1: Regarding the Formulation of the Plan

　In our city, the "Inagi City Sports Promotion Plan" was formulated in March 2016. This plan, with the goal of "One Sport per Citizen" set by the city, has comprehensively and systematically promoted the creation of opportunities and environments where citizens can enjoy sports and recreation throughout their lives, according to their age, physical strength, and lifestyle, encouraging participation in various forms of sports activities to realize a rich sports life.
　Since the planning period of the "Inagi City Sports Promotion Plan" will end in FY2025, based on the city's higher-level plan, the "Fifth Inagi City Long-Term Comprehensive Plan," as well as the national "Basic Sports Act" and "Basic Sports Plan," and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "Comprehensive Sports Promotion Plan," the "Second Inagi City Sports Promotion Plan" has been formulated with a planning period from FY2026 to FY2035. We will continue to promote sports with the goal of "One Sport per Citizen" set by the city.

Positioning of the Plan

　This plan is formulated based on sports-related measures in the city’s higher-level plan, the "Fifth Long-Term Comprehensive Plan of Inagi City," as well as other individual plans such as the "Fourth Basic Plan for the Promotion of Education in Inagi City."
　Furthermore, based on the national "Basic Sports Act" and the "Third Basic Sports Plan," and while ensuring consistency with plans such as the "Tokyo Metropolitan Comprehensive Sports Promotion Plan," this plan is positioned as a comprehensive plan to promote sports-related measures.
