Professor Lecture "Move the Hearts of Store Visitors! Understanding 'In-Store Marketing'"

Supermarkets, which we usually use casually, are implementing various initiatives to encourage customers to purchase "one more item." How are these efforts carried out? Let's deepen our understanding of store layout concepts and in-store promotions through lectures and exercises. Additionally, in recent years, digital initiatives have also been introduced at store fronts. We will introduce examples of their use in Japan and the United States.

Content of Each Session

1st	October 11	How to get customers to buy "one more item"? Various measures are implemented at grocery supermarkets to encourage customers to make purchases. Let's understand the product placement and management inside the store through lectures and exercises.
2nd	December 13	Promotions Held In-Store Have you ever thought "This is a good deal" or "Let's make ... today" at the store and ended up buying something you didn't originally plan to? We plan promotions to attract the interest of store visitors.
3rd	December 13	Examples of Digital Utilization at Storefronts We introduce initiatives at storefronts utilizing digital technology, focusing mainly on domestic and international examples. We also explain the surprising reasons why young people tend not to use cashless payments.

Each class is 90 minutes long.

On December 13th, two sessions will be held in one day. During the lecture, there are plans to conduct activities such as going to a physical store for research.
