Held the "World Children’s Future Conference Supporting the United Nations in INAGI" (August 25, 2036)
On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the "World Children’s Future Conference Supporting the United Nations in INAGI" was held.
Inagi City held the event for the first time in FY2024, and this was the third time. A total of 24 representatives of 6th-grade elementary school students from the city gathered, divided into six groups, and discussed under the theme "Protect? Change? Inagi Future Conference: The Great Strategy for Balancing Nature and Convenience, Both Are Important," and presented their ideas.
This meeting was divided into two parts: the first part was a workshop held in the Community Promotion Plaza 4th floor conference room, and the second part was a presentation conducted in the main conference hall with the cooperation of the Inagi City Council.
The group that wins the top prize at this meeting will be able to participate as representatives of Inagi City in the "7th World Children's Future Conference Supporting the United Nations," scheduled to be held in Tokyo in March 2027.

Part 1 Workshop Overview
In the Part 1 workshop, participants made the Peace Communication Declaration, introduced themselves, and deepened communication. After that, they discussed "Protect or Change? Inagi's Future Conference: The Great Strategy for Balancing Nature and Convenience, Both Important," considered concrete ideas and actions each person could take, and created presentation boards for Part 2.
The state of the second part presentation
In the second part presentation, first, Mr. Haruto Sakurai, a member of the group that won the grand prize at the main conference in FY2025, reported on his visit to the United Nations Headquarters in New York in May 2026, where he delivered ideas as a Kids Ambassador, and gave advice to the participating children who were about to present.
Next, each group gave a presentation on the proposals they had compiled, responded to questions from the judges and children from other groups, and the judges scored the presentations to determine the grand prize winner. During the judging, Mr. Kengo Okada, Executive Officer of Yomiuriland Co., Ltd., Deputy Manager of the Ballpark Business and Tokyo Giants Town, and General Manager of the Ballpark Business Department, delivered a lecture.
The group that won the grand prize was awarded a certificate of commendation by Mayor Takahashi.
