Small creatures drifting in the sea and ponds. Their appearance is like a work of art. And now, they are attracting attention as a trump card in measures against global warming.

The mysterious creatures living in the sea and ponds, "phytoplankton," survive through photosynthesis using sunlight, and society expects their use in reducing CO2, which causes global warming. This lecture explores their potential from the perspective of life sciences.
