Special Child Support Allowance (National System)

Eligibility

Those who are raising children with disabilities under the age of 20. However, the degree of disability should generally be equivalent to Level 1 to 3 of the Love Certificate, or Level 1 to 3 of the Physical Disability Certificate, or similar levels of mental disabilities, or multiple disabilities as defined by law. Monthly Allowance Amount

56,800 yen per child for those certified as Grade 1 under this Child Allowance
For each child, Grade 2 certified recipient of this allowance: 37,830 yen

Payment Method

In principle, payments will be made three times a year (in April, August, and November) to the designated financial institution account. Additionally, payments will be eligible starting from the month following the application date.

Application Method

Please bring the following documents and apply at the Child Care Support Division, Benefits and Grants Section on the 2nd floor of City Hall.

1. A copy of the bankbook for the applicant's own bank account (a page clearly showing the account holder's name, bank name, branch name, and account number is required)
2. Certificate of Residence for all household members (can be omitted if the Certificate of Residence is in Inagi City)
3. Certificates or diagnosis documents indicating the status of disabilities (the format of the diagnosis document is distributed at the counter)
4. My Number Card Verification Document
   • Note: It is necessary to include your My Number in the Application Form when applying.
     (For applicants, spouses, children, and dependents)
5. In addition, depending on the situation, other certificates may be required. For more details, please contact us.

• Note 1: The number refers to the number of dependents for tax purposes.
• Note 2: When comparing with the amounts in this table, please refer to your income (the "Amount after Employment Income Deduction" on your withholding slip, the "Total Income Amount (1)" on the Municipal and Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax Special Collection Tax Amount Notice, or the "Total Income Amount" on your final tax return) and subtract the above deduction amounts from it.
  If you have income from salary or public Pension, the amount used will be the total amount minus 100,000 yen.

Update Procedures

Every year in August, it is necessary to submit a current status report as part of the annual update procedure.
In late July, the Child Care Support Division will send the notification form, so please submit it along with the necessary documents.
If the current status report is not submitted, you will not be able to receive the allowance from August (paid in November) onward.

Notification is required

In the following cases, please proceed with the necessary procedures promptly.

• When the condition of the target child's disability changes
• When changing your name
• When changing your address
• When the number of eligible children changes
• When a child is admitted to a child welfare facility, etc.
• When circumstances arise that do not meet other eligibility requirements and prevent the receipt of benefits
