Subsidy for Seismic Renovation of Wooden Houses
We will expand the scope of subsidies
In Inagi City, we are providing support through seismic diagnosis and renovation subsidy projects to promote the seismic retrofitting of wooden houses, learning from past earthquakes.
Starting from the 7th year of Reiwa, in addition to subsidies for seismic diagnosis and renovation, subsidies for demolition (seismic removal) have also been newly included as eligible.
In addition, regarding seismic retrofitting, in addition to wooden houses built according to the standards before May 31, 1981, newly, wooden houses built using traditional frame construction methods from June 1, 1981, to May 31, 2000, whether single-story or two-story, are also eligible for subsidies.
Residents of these homes are encouraged to consider seismic retrofitting or demolition (seismic removal) to protect their important lives and property.
Seismic Retrofit Subsidy Eligible Housing
The eligible houses for the subsidy are those that have undergone seismic diagnosis using the Inagi City Wooden House Seismic Diagnosis Subsidy System, or houses that have undergone seismic diagnosis conducted by the diagnostic institutions listed below, and must meet all of the following conditions 1 to 5.
- It is a private wooden house or wooden apartment building located within the city that has been subject to seismic diagnosis conducted by a diagnostic institution, and is eligible for grants based on the guidelines for seismic diagnosis assistance.
- Buildings constructed based on standards before May 31, 1981, or single-story or two-story buildings constructed using traditional frame construction methods based on standards from June 1, 1981, to May 31, 2000.
- If a single building is used for multiple purposes, more than half of the total floor area of that building must be allocated for residential use.
- For houses diagnosed with a possibility of collapse based on seismic diagnosis, the evaluation score after seismic retrofitting should be 1.0 or higher.
- The content of the seismic retrofitting is based on the results of the seismic diagnosis.
