Announcements

From March 1, 2024, it has become possible to request family register copies and other documents from other municipalities. (Wide-area issuance)

From January 20, 2025, it has become possible to request family register certificates online for those whose registered domicile is Inagi City.

Main Types of Family Register Certificates

Certificate of All Matters in Family Register (Family Register Copy)
A document that records all the personal status details of everyone listed in the family register
Certificate of Personal Matters (Family Register Extract)
A document that records all personal status details of some individuals listed in the family register
Certificate of All Matters of Removal (Removal Transcript)
A family register from which all members have been removed due to marriage, death, change of domicile, etc., containing all personal status details of all members
Certificate of Removal from the Family Register (Extract of Removal)
Among family registers from which all members have been removed due to marriage, death, transfer of domicile, etc., this document records all personal status details of some individuals.
Certified Copy of the Original Family Register
In the event of a revision of the family register (such as computerization of the family register, or changes to the unit of compilation or format of the register), a document that records all personal status details of all members in the family register before the revision.
Certified Copy of the Original Family Register
In the event of a revision of the family register (such as computerization of the family register, or changes to the unit of compilation or format of the register), this refers to a document that records all personal status details of certain individuals from the family register before the revision.
Family Register Attached List
Certificate of the resident registration change history for the person listed in the family register
Identification Document
A document certifying that you have not received a notification of declaration of incompetency or quasi-incompetency, have not received a notification of guardianship registration, and have not received a notification of bankruptcy declaration or commencement of bankruptcy proceedings.
Certificate of Absence
Based on the family register, this certifies that a specific person is not currently registered at a specific domicile.
Certificate of Single Status
A document certifying that it does not violate the provisions of Article 732 of the Civil Code (Prohibition of Bigamy) based on the family register
Acceptance Certificate
A certificate issued by Inagi City to confirm that the city has accepted notifications of family register matters such as marriage, divorce, and birth

Notice: If your registered domicile is not in Inagi City, copies of the family register supplement or identity certificates cannot be issued by Inagi City Hall. Please request them from the city hall of your registered domicile. For requests regarding family register copies from other municipalities, please see "Wide-Area Issuance of Family Register Certificates, etc."

Notice: If the place of notification for the family register submission is not Inagi City, the acceptance certificate cannot be issued by Inagi City Hall. Please request it from the city hall of the place of notification.

Notice: When requesting a family register traced back from birth to death due to inheritance, etc., from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Depending on the status of the family register, issuance may not be completed on the same day, and you may need to come again on the following day or later, so please allow plenty of time when you visit.

Notice: The holiday office hours are from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Notice: For the identification codes provided for electronic family register certificates and electronic removed family register certificates, (1) if requested simultaneously with the family register certificate or removed family register certificate of the same content, and (2) if requested via the My Number Portal, there will be no charge.

Required Items for Billing

  • Identification documents of the person who came to the counter (documents that verify name and address or name and date of birth)

Notice: For wide-area issuance, identity verification documents are limited to photo ID cards issued by government offices.

  • Fee (see "Issuance Fee" above)
  • Power of Attorney (in case a representative visits the office) (Download Application Form from the page for "Forms related to Power of Attorney")
  • Supporting documents that can confirm legitimate claims (in the case of third-party requests, if necessary)
  • Original documents confirming the authority of legal representatives such as guardians (for documents like registration certificates created by public offices, only those issued within the last 3 months are acceptable).

Note: For online applications, a My Number Card (with a valid electronic signature certificate) and a smartphone compatible with the My Number Card are required.
