Wide Area Issuance of Certificate of Residence Copy

Thanks to the Basic Resident Register Network System (Juki Net), you can now receive a copy of your Certificate of Residence at any municipal office across the country. This is referred to as "wide-area issuance of Certificate of Residence copies."

• Persons in the same household as the applicant

Notice: Individuals from different households or third parties cannot make a claim.

City Hall is open on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Required Items for Billing

Identity verification documents of the applicant

Please present one of the following documents (valid within the expiration date).

1. My Number Card (PIN entry is required)
2. Documents issued by government agencies with a photo attached, such as driver's licenses and passports.

• Note: Only the name, address, and date of birth listed on the identification document that are up to date (matching the resident registration) are accepted.

Fee

300 yen (1 letter)

Contents of the Certificate of Residence issued through wide-area provision

The content will be almost the same as the copy of the Certificate of Residence issued by the municipality of the address, but for Japanese residents, the family register information will not be included.

Notice You cannot obtain a Certificate of Residence that has been removed or a pre-revision Certificate of Residence.
