Subsidy for Cancer Screening and Brain Dock Examination Fees

To maintain and promote health, when subscribers of the National Health Insurance Program in Inagi City voluntarily undergo cancer screening or brain dock examinations at medical institutions, a portion of the costs incurred for these tests will be subsidized.

Eligible Persons

Those who meet all of the following conditions

  1. Cancer Screening
    1. As of the date of the examination, enrolled in the National Health Insurance.
    2. As of the date of the examination, under 40 years old.
    3. The National Health Insurance Tax has been fully paid.

Note: Cancer screenings for those aged 40 and over are provided at the Health Center. You can receive the screening with a cost burden of 10% to 30%. For more details, please refer to the link below.

  1. Brain Dock
    1. As of the date of the examination, enrolled in the National Health Insurance.
    2. The National Health Insurance Tax has been fully paid.

Note: There are no age restrictions for brain dock examinations.

Eligible Examinations

  1. Cancer Screening (Colorectal Cancer, Stomach Cancer, Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Prostate Cancer)

  2. Brain Dock

    Note: Examinations covered by insurance or those for which the full cost of the screening is not borne by the individual are not eligible for subsidies.

Subsidy Amount

An amount equivalent to half of the examination fee paid by the examinee
Note: If the amount equivalent to half of the examination fee exceeds 20,000 yen, the maximum limit is 20,000 yen

Number of Grants

One brain dock and one cancer screening per fiscal year (subsidies are available once for each of the five cancer screening items)

Application Method

Please bring the following items to the Insurance and Pension Division or Hirao/Wakabadai Branch Office and apply.

  • Paper Health Insurance Card, My Number Health Insurance Card, Certificate of Eligibility, or Notice of Eligibility Information
  • Receipt
  • Items that indicate the inspection details (such as statements)
  • Documents that indicate the transfer destination (such as a bankbook)

Application Deadline

Within 2 years from the date of examination

Open on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Note: On holidays when the office is open, hours are from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Note: Holiday opening hours apply only to City Hall.
