We provide subsidies for air conditioner purchase costs, etc., for households receiving Public Assistance
Purpose
Strengthening measures against heatstroke and maintaining health
Eligible households
Must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Households currently receiving Public Assistance
(2) Households with no air conditioner in the residence or with an air conditioner that is broken and unusable
(3) Households not eligible for temporary Public Assistance (purchase cost of cooling equipment)
Note: Rental properties where the landlord is responsible for installation and repairs are excluded.
Subsidy Maximum Amount
Air conditioner unit purchase cost + installation work cost, etc. → Subsidy maximum amount up to 100,000 yen
Note: The subsidy maximum amount for the air conditioner unit purchase cost is up to 78,000 yen.
Note: Installation costs, etc., include installation fees, delivery fees, removal fees, and recycling fees.
Note: Costs exceeding the maximum limit must be borne by the individual.
Note: It is possible to combine this with the "Tokyo Zero Emission Point Program" implemented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
Eligible Equipment (One Unit per Household)
Must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Purchased at a store or from Business Operators
(2) Includes new purchases as well as replacements when unusable due to malfunction, and purchases of used items
(3) Installed fixed to a wall or window frame
(4) Installed in the residence of the subsidized household
(5) Not used for business purposes
Application Deadline
December 28, 2026 (Monday)
Note: When applying, the assigned caseworker will visit in advance to check the installation status of the air conditioner.
