From April 1, 2025, in addition to the existing Class 1 motorized bicycles (with a total displacement of 50cc or less), a new category called the New Standard Motorized Bicycles (hereinafter referred to as "New Standard Motorized Bicycles") has been added.

The New Standard Motorized Bicycles refer to motorized bicycles with a total displacement of 125cc or less and a maximum output controlled to 4.0 kW or less, and they are issued the same white license plates as motorized bicycles with a total displacement of 50cc or less.
The same rules for licenses and traffic regulations apply as those for motorized bicycles with a total displacement of 50cc or less.

The conventional Class 1 motorized bicycles (with a total displacement of 50cc or less) can still be registered as before. Also, there is no need to change the currently registered license plates.
