No.173 Opening of the Inagi My Number Card Center

On May 31, the "Inagi My Number Card Center" was opened on the 3rd floor of Keio Litnade Inagi, located at the north exit of Inagi Station on the Keio Sagamihara Line.

In addition to the initial acquisition, the My Number Card requires procedures for renewing the card itself, which is valid for 10 years (5 years for those under 18), and renewing the electronic certificate, which is valid for 5 years. Along with the increase in the card acquisition rate, the number of citizens visiting City Hall for these procedures has increased. The Citizen Affairs Division counter at City Hall, which has been handling these procedures, has a cramped first-floor lobby waiting area, making it a challenge to relocate the dedicated counter to a different location.

The location opened this time was previously occupied by a 100-yen shop, but after its closure, the store remained vacant for about two years. While searching for a candidate site to open the My Number Card Center, this property was selected considering factors such as an appropriate size and its location in front of the station, which is easily accessible from all over the city.

In addition to securing a dedicated counter, another challenge was providing service during weekends and evenings. Until now, since the service was conducted inside the City Hall building, it was difficult to accommodate this. However, this time, by opening a dedicated counter inside the station building, it has become possible to accept applications during weekends and evenings as well.

Opening Hours

• Monday and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Wednesday and Thursday 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Closed Days

Fridays, Saturdays (except the fourth Saturday), Sundays following the third Saturday, year-end and New Year holidays, and public holidays

Reservation System

Online reservations are available for receiving the My Number Card, updating/issuing electronic certificates, and resetting/changing PINs. To avoid waiting, we recommend making a reservation through the Inagi City website.

Currently, we accept both the reservation system and direct visits, but considering usage conditions, we will also consider introducing a fully reservation-based system in the future.

With the opening of the My Number Card Center, procedures related to the My Number Card at the City Hall main office have ended.

Furthermore, at the Hirao and Wakabadai Branch Offices, we will continue to provide "Electronic Certificate Renewal and Issuance" and "My Number Card PIN Reset (Unlock)" services.
