It is important to take measures appropriate to each location to prevent heatstroke.
Refer to the following and implement appropriate measures.
The Ministry of the Environment issues a "Heatstroke Warning Alert" when there is a risk of heatstroke due to significantly high temperatures, and a "Special Heatstroke Warning Alert" when there is an unprecedentedly dangerous level of heat over a wide area that may cause serious health damage to people.

In addition, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government issues "Tokyo Heat Information," which provides disaster-level heat information by city and encourages countermeasures.

In Inagi City, when various warning alerts are issued, we will appropriately inform citizens through email distribution and other means.

Let's avoid the heat and protect ourselves

Indoors

  • Adjust the room temperature using air conditioning or fans
  • Use blackout curtains, sunshades, and water sprinkling
  • Wear cool clothing
  • Be especially careful on suddenly hot days

Outdoors

  • Wearing sun umbrellas and hats
  • Use of shade, frequent breaks
  • On sunny days, try to limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible.

Avoid body heat accumulation

  • Wear breathable, moisture-absorbing, and quick-drying clothing
  • Cool your body with ice packs, ice, cold towels, etc.

Stay hydrated regularly

Whether indoors or outdoors, even if you don't feel thirsty, make sure to regularly replenish fluids, salts, and sports drinks.
