  • Those moving from Inagi City to other municipalities
  • Those moving abroad from Inagi City and staying for a long period (generally staying abroad for more than one year)

A notification of resident change is required.
Note: If the stay abroad is less than one year, there is no need to submit a notification of moving out, regardless of whether you are Japanese or a foreigner.

Notification Period

Approximately 14 days before the scheduled moving date or later
Note If you have already moved, please submit your notification immediately.

Notification Method

1. Online Application (For those who have a My Number Card only)

If you wish to apply online, please check the procedure at the link below.

Note: Online application is not available for notifications of moving abroad.

2. In-Person Application

  • Citizen Affairs Division, 1st Floor, City Hall
  • Hirao Branch Office
  • Wakabadai Branch Office (i Plaza 1st Floor)

Notice The registration changes for households including foreign residents cannot be processed at the Branch Office. Please come to the Citizen Affairs Division on the first floor of City Hall.

3. Mail Application

If you wish to apply by mail, please check the procedure at the link below.

Applicant (Counter Application)

  • The person themselves
  • Those who are in the same household as the individual in Inagi City
  • Agent other than the above (Power of attorney is required)

Note: Please prepare a power of attorney that is signed or stamped by the person themselves.

Items Required for Notification (Counter Application)

Transfer out of Japan

  1. Identification documents of the notifier

Transfer Abroad (Overseas Transfer)

  1. Identification documents of the notifier
  2. My Number Card for all persons moving out (for those who have it only)
  3. the Basic Resident Registration Card (for those who have it only)

Note:Japanese citizens who possess a My Number Card are required to complete the "Procedure for Continued Use Abroad". Please check the page below for the necessary items and procedure.

Note:Foreigners who possess a My Number Card will need to return their My Number Card when submitting their notification of moving out.

Required only if applicable

  • National Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate
  • Late-Stage Elderly Medical Care Insurance Eligibility Certificate
  • Long-Term Care Insurance Insured Person Certificate
  • Medical Care Recipient Certificate under the Elderly Health Care Act
  • Disability Certificate for Recipients
  • Single-Parent Family Medical Certificate
  • Infants and Young Children Medical Certificate
  • Child Rearing Allowance Certificate, etc.

Other required documents such as benefit certificates and seals issued by Inagi City, as well as necessary items and procedures, vary depending on the individual.

Open on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Note: On holiday opening days, the hours are from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Note: Holiday openings are only at City Hall.

Special Provisions for Moving-In Notification (For those who have a My Number Card or the Basic Resident Registration Card)

Those who have a My Number Card (Individual Number Card) or the Basic Resident Registration Card (until December 28, 2025) are eligible for the special provisions for moving-in notification, and in principle, no paper moving-out certificate will be issued.
