There are the following methods for paying Inagi City's municipal taxes (Municipal Resident Tax and Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax, Property Tax and Urban Planning Tax, Light Vehicle Tax (classification tax), Corporate Municipal Tax) and National Health Insurance Tax.

Direct Debit

By applying in advance, this method automatically transfers the payment from your designated bank account on each due date. There is no worry about "forgetting to pay," "reminder notices or late fees," or "missing refund claims." Since you do not need to carry cash, you can pay your taxes safely and securely.

Note: Please be aware that direct debit is not available for past years' amounts, delinquent amounts, Municipal Resident Tax and Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax (special collection), and Corporate Municipal Tax.

Counter

This is a method where you bring the payment slip to the designated payment location to make your payment. Please refer to the table below for the payment locations.
Additionally, you can make payments 24 hours a day at designated convenience stores nationwide (hours may vary by store), so please make use of this service.

  1. Financial Institutions Handling Public Funds in Inagi City (Head Offices and Branches)
    Mizuho Bank, Kiraboshi Bank, Yamanashi Chuo Bank, Sawayaka Shinkin Bank, Jonan Shinkin Bank, Tama Shinkin Bank, Chuo Rodo Kinko, Tokyo Minami Agricultural Cooperative, Various Agricultural Cooperatives in Tokyo (excluding island areas)
  2. Japan Post Bank
    Japan Post Bank and Post Offices located in Tokyo, Yamanashi Prefecture, and other Kanto Prefectures
  3. Nationwide Financial Institutions, Japan Post Bank, and Post Offices Supporting Unified Local Tax QR Code
    (Those with the unified local tax QR code (eL-QR) printed on the payment slip)
  4. Convenience Stores
    Kurashi House, Three Eight, Seikatsu Saika, 7-Eleven, Daily Yamazaki, New Yamazaki Daily Store, FamilyMart, Poplar, Ministop, Yamazaki Special Partner Shop, Yamazaki Daily Store, Lawson, MMK-equipped stores
  5. Inagi City Hall (Mizuho Bank City Hall Branch)
  6. Hirao Branch Office, Wakabadai Branch Office
  • Note 1: Municipal Resident Tax, Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax (special collection), and corporate Municipal Resident Tax cannot be paid at convenience stores.
  • Note 2: Among the payment slips, those with an amount exceeding 300,000 yen, those without a barcode on the front, those that cannot be read by a barcode scanner, and those that have passed the handling deadline cannot be paid at convenience stores.
  • Note 3: When making a payment at a convenience store counter, the recalculation of late payment fees will not be performed. If payment is made after the due date, a separate late payment fee may be charged.
  • Note 4: At Inagi City Hall, in addition to weekdays, payments can also be made at the Revenue Division on the holiday office days, which are generally the 2nd Sunday and 4th Saturday of each month.

Electronic Payment Using the Unified Local Tax QR Code (eL-QR)

The following electronic payments are possible using the unified local tax QR code (eL-QR) printed on the payment slip.

  • Credit Card Payment
  • Electronic Money Payment (Pay Apps, etc.) (Note 1)
  • Internet Banking Payment
  • Direct Payment
  • Pay-easy ATM Payment

For details on how to use, please check the "Local Tax Payment Site" (Operated by: Local Tax Joint Organization).

  • Note: Electronic money payment is possible by directly scanning the Local Tax Unified QR code from the compatible app.
  • Note: Municipal Resident Tax and Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax (ordinary collection), Property Tax and City Planning Tax, Light Vehicle Tax (classification tax), and National Health Insurance Tax are applicable.
  • Note: The fees for credit card payments will be borne by the user.
  • Note: If payment is made via QR code, a receipt will not be issued.
  • Note: After payment, it takes a certain period for the city to confirm the payment, so if you need a tax payment certificate immediately, please make the payment at a financial institution or convenience store and present the receipt to the Revenue Division.
  • Note: Payment via smartphone payment apps and mobile register payments using the payment slip barcode has ended as of the end of March 2023.

Common Local Tax Payment System (eLTAX)

This is a method of payment using the Common Local Tax Payment System (eLTAX) via the internet from a personal computer.
