You can apply for renewal of your electronic certificate starting three months before its expiration date.
When the expiration date of your electronic certificate approaches, you will receive an "Expiration Notice" in a blue envelope from the national agency. If you wish to renew your electronic certificate, please check the contents of the envelope and come to complete the procedure.
- Note:You can complete the procedure even if you do not have the expiration notice.
- Note:You can complete the procedure even if the expiration date has passed.
Issuance of Electronic Certificates (for those who do not have an electronic certificate installed, etc.)
Those who have a My Number Card can have an electronic certificate issued at any time within the card's validity period.

Application for Legal Representative (for those under 15 years old or adult wards)
In principle, if the person is under 15 years old or is an adult under guardianship, the issuance of a "signature electronic certificate" cannot be done.
Only the issuance of electronic certificates for user identification will be provided.

- One official identification document with a photo issued by a public office for the legal representative 1 point (such as a driver's license or My Number Card)
- Certificate of Registered Matters (for adults under guardianship)

- Sealed Inquiry and Response Document (enclosed with the expiration notification)
How to Create an Inquiry and Response Document
- Please have the individual fill out the inquiry and response form completely.
- Please enclose the completed inquiry and response document in the enclosed envelope and be sure to seal it with tape.
- Please entrust your My Number Card and the sealed inquiry and response document to your agent.
- Note: If the inquiry and response document is not sealed, the procedure cannot be completed.
- Note: If there are any errors or omissions in the entries, the procedure cannot be completed.
- Note: If the entered PIN is incorrect, the procedure cannot be completed. The individual must visit the office again to reset the PIN.
