Regarding the reset of the PIN for the My Number Card (Individual Number Card)

If you forget your PIN or if your PIN is locked, the following procedures are required at City Hall or the Branch Office.
Please note that the PIN for the electronic certificate can only be processed at convenience stores, etc.

 

Procedures for smartphone electronic certificates can be done through the Mynaportal app.

PIN Reset at City Hall and Branch Office

At City Hall and Branch Offices, you cannot reset the PIN for the smartphone electronic certificate.

Required Documents

Personal Application
  1. My Number Card
  2. Identity verification documents A1 point or B1 point (see below for "List of Identity Verification Documents")
Application for Legal Representative (for those under 15 years old and adult wards)

In addition to the above, the following documents are required.

  1. Identification documents of the agent A2 points or A1 points + B1 points (see below for "List of Identification Documents")
  2. If the person is under 15 years old, a copy of the family register (not required if the person and their legal representative are in the same household and the person's registered domicile is within Inagi City) is not required.
  3. Certificate of Registered Matters for Adult Guardianship
Application for Voluntary Agent

Note: In the case of applying for a voluntary agent, the PIN reset cannot be done on the same day.

Resetting PIN at Convenience Stores, etc.

You can reset the PIN for the Signature Electronic Certificate (6 to 16 alphanumeric characters) and the User Identification Electronic Certificate (4-digit number) at convenience stores, etc. (You cannot reset the PIN for the smartphone electronic certificate)

Note: To reset the password for the signature electronic certificate, you will need the password for the user certificate electronic certificate (4-digit number). If you are unsure, you will need to go through the procedures at City Hall or the Branch Office.
Note: To reset the password for the user authentication electronic certificate, you will need the password for the signature electronic certificate (6 to 16 alphanumeric characters). If you have any questions, you will need to go through the procedures at City Hall or the Branch Office.
Note: The PIN for the Basic Resident Registration Card and the PIN for card surface input assistance cannot be reset at convenience stores, etc. Procedures must be completed at City Hall or a Branch Office.

  • Note: If 24 hours have passed since the preparation was completed, please start over from the beginning.

Resetting PIN on the Mynaportal App

With the Mynaportal app (smartphone app), you can only reset the PIN for the smartphone electronic certificate.

Note: The PIN reset procedure for the smartphone electronic certificate cannot be done on the web version of Mynaportal.

Regarding the change of the PIN for the My Number Card (Individual Number Card)

If you want to change the PIN of your My Number Card, you need to complete the following procedures at the City Hall or Branch Office. You can also use the Mynaportal or the Public Personal Authentication Service to complete the procedures on your home computer, etc.
Note: If you do not know your PIN, please refer to the above "About resetting the PIN for My Number Card."

Procedures for smartphone electronic certificates can be done through the Mynaportal app.

At City Hall and Branch Offices, you cannot change the PIN for the smartphone electronic certificate.

Changing PIN on PC, etc.

My Portal

You can use the Mynaportal to change the PIN of your My Number Card online.
In addition to an environment where you can connect to the Internet, an IC card reader/writer is required for computers. For details, please refer to the link below.

Note: Changing the PIN for the smartphone electronic certificate is only supported through the Mynaportal app (smartphone app).

Public Personal Authentication Service

You can use the Public Personal Authentication Service to change the PIN of your My Number Card online. (You cannot reset the PIN for the smartphone electronic certificate.)
In addition to an environment with internet access, an IC card reader/writer and user client software are required. For more details, please refer to the link below.

List of Identity Verification Documents

  • Identification documents must be valid and within their expiration date.
  • Identification documents must match the Certificate of Residence with either "name and date of birth" or "name and address".

A government-issued photo ID

  • Driver's License
  • My Number Card (with photo)
  • the Basic Resident Registration Card (with photo)
  • Passport
  • Disability Certificate
  • Driving History Certificate (limited to those issued on or after April 1, 2012)
  • Residence Card (with photo)
  • Special Permanent Resident Certificate (with photo) etc.

B No Photo ID

  • My Number Card (without photo)
  • Health Insurance Card or Qualification Confirmation Document
  • Long-Term Care Insurance Card
  • Pension book or Basic Pension Number Notification (including Pension Amount Revision Notification and Pension Transfer Notification)
  • Various Pension Certificates
  • Public Assistance Recipient Certificate
  • Various Medical Certificates (Maru Nyuu, Maru Ko, Maru Ao)
  • Maternal and Child Health Handbook
  • Certificate of Birth Registration
  • Residence Card (No Photo)
  • Special Permanent Resident Certificate (No Photo)
  • Student ID (one that includes "name and date of birth" or "name and address")
  • Employee ID (one that includes "name and date of birth" or "name and address") etc.

Note: If you have a public identification document with a photo, it may be possible to verify your identity with just one document (as a supplement to the identity verification documents, confirmation of the IC password, or for those registered as residents in the city, a hearing will be conducted).

  1. Citizen Affairs Division Citizen Service Section (Open only on weekdays and holiday service counter days)
  2. Hirao Branch Office (Weekdays only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)
  3. Wakabadai Branch Office (Weekdays only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays)

Reception HoursFrom 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (However, on holidays, the hours from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM are excluded)
