QuestionWhat happens if I default on the National Health Insurance Tax?

Response

If you default on the insurance tax, you may not be able to receive the Certificate of Application of the Maximum Amount for High-Cost Medical Expenses. Additionally, depending on the period of non-payment, you may receive a reminder notice or have your assets seized.
If it is difficult to pay the insurance tax due to special circumstances such as a disaster, you may be able to make installment payments upon application, so please do not leave the delinquent status unattended and consult the Revenue Collection Division.
