Notice regarding Business Operators impersonating "U-NEXT Co., Ltd." attempting to collect money under the pretext of unpaid fees for paid videos via SMS.
Since July 2015, consultations related to business operators impersonating U-NEXT Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Fake U-NEXT") who attempt to collect money under the pretext of unpaid fees for paid videos via SMS have been reported to Consumer Affairs Centers and other locations nationwide.
The Consumer Affairs Agency has provided information based on Article 38, Paragraph 1 of the Consumer Safety Act (Act No. 50 of 2009) regarding acts that may unjustly harm consumers' interests in transactions with fake U-Next (acts that deceive or intimidate consumers causing confusion). Therefore, to prevent the occurrence or spread of consumer damage, we inform all consumers.
