Regarding Information Leakage Due to Unauthorized Access to the "Asoview" Email Delivery Service

It has been confirmed that some customer information from Asoview!, a service provided by Asoview Inc., was leaked due to unauthorized access to Arara Message, an email delivery service provided by Arara Inc. and used by Asoview Inc. Asoview Inc. operates the Asoview! Furusato Tax portal, which the city uses to accept hometown tax donations.

Information related to donations made through Asoview! Furusato Tax was not included in this data leak. However, if a donor is an Asoview! member, their membership information may have been included.
At this time, it has not yet been determined which members the leaked email addresses belong to. Arara Inc. is currently investigating the identities of those affected.

Overview of the Incident

According to an announcement by Arara Inc., on Saturday, October 31, it was confirmed that data had been taken from the server of Arara Message, a service provided by the company, following unauthorized access.
On Monday, November 2, a subsequent investigation revealed that the data taken included customer information entrusted to Arara Inc. by Asoview Inc.
Asoview Inc. plans to contact affected customers individually and directly.

Information leaked:

• Email Address
• Member information (member ID and number, name, gender, date of birth, registration date, last login date, etc.)
• Contact information (phone number, postal code, and area of residence)
• Ticket and other purchase and usage information (purchase date and time, ticket type, number of tickets, name of facility visited, date and time of visit, number of participants, whether the booking was canceled, etc.)

Note: Credit card information and login passwords were not entrusted to the service and were therefore not included in the leaked information.
